The primary goal of this survey is to collect concrete stories that illustrate the essential, often invisible, work of our community of Local Health Departments. We hope to use these materials to figure out: "Why should I care about this and what happens if it's not funded?"

This could include:

Local Health Department staff: Stories about home visits that help infants, connect new mothers with resources, identifying sources of lead in the home, or manage chronic diseases for seniors.

Epidemiologists: Narratives about tracing the source of a foodborne illness outbreak, preventing its spread, and saving the community from widespread sickness.

Environmental Health Specialists: Accounts of ensuring safe drinking water, inspecting restaurants to prevent food poisoning, or mitigating local environmental hazards.

Health Directors/Administrators: Big-picture stories that connect the dots between state funding and the ability to provide these essential services on the ground.
