Khadijia Tribie Reid, MD, MPH
Dr. Khadijia Tribie Reid is a pediatrician and public health advocate serving as the Pediatric Medical Director at MedNorth Health Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, a Federally Qualified Health Center where she oversees care for underserved communities. She is also the Past Chair (2021-2023) of Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Department of Pediatrics.
Deeply passionate about Early Childhood Education, Dr. Tribié Reid is North Carolina’s State Medical Director for Reach Out and Read, a program that promotes early literacy by providing free books to children from birth to age five during medical visits. She also serves as a governor-appointed board member of the North Carolina Partnership for Children, which supports statewide early childhood education initiatives.
Dr. Tribié Reid earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine, completed her pediatric residency at Tulane University, earned a Master of Public Health from UNC’s Gillings School of Public Health, and received her undergraduate degree from Duke University.
