Fredia Wadley, MD, MSHPA
Dr. Wadley earned her doctorate degree in medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1975, followed by a pediatric residency at Memphis, Tenn., hospitals and pediatric board certification in 1975. Dr. Wadley earned her master of science degree in Health Planning and Administration in 1976. She served on the pediatric faculty for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center; as the southeast regional medical director, director and chief medical officer for the Tennessee Department of Health; as director of the Nashville/Davidson County Health Department; and as the commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Health. Most recently, Dr. Wadley was the medical director for Health Integrity, the medical director for Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care and the CEO of Quality Health Strategies and then as the Health Officer for Talbot County, MD.
Dr. Wadley has received awards for public health work from the Southern Health Association, the Tennessee Public Health Association, the Tennessee Pediatric Society and others. She has also been a delegate to the American Public Health Association.
