The Southern Alliance for Public Health Leadership (SAPHL) is a nonprofit alliance committed to strengthening the voice, visibility, and effectiveness of public health across the South. We work across state lines to strengthen leadership, connect communities, and improve health outcomes through policy, partnership, and locally grounded strategies.
Site requirements for hosting a clinic
Vaccines are one of the most effective tools we have to prevent illness. To ensure a safe, organized, and successful event for the community, we ask that all partner host sites commit to the following logistical requirements:
- Minimum participation: Secure at least ten completed patient consent forms prior to the clinic date.
- Facility accommodations: Provide adequate space to safely administer vaccines and monitor individuals afterward, alongside reliable access to power.
- Connectivity: Supply access to Wi-Fi (if possible) to support digital registration and secure record-keeping.
Expanding access to pediatric care
SAPHL’s voice is grounded, community-centered, and committed to clarity and dignity. Because of this, we view our on-site clinics as a stepping stone rather than just a single event.
By agreeing to host a clinic, your site also commits to working collaboratively with DeKalb and other local partners to establish a broader, ongoing conversation about how kids access health care in the area. By doing so, we can work together to frame problems with solutions and momentum to better support our communities.
